Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic is popularly known as VVP, is one of the most prestigious Polytechnics in Karnataka established in 2005 under the patronage of Vidyavardhaka Sangha (R), Sheshadri Iyer Road, Mysore. Since its inception VVP has been in continuous pursuit of excellence in imparting Technical Education. It has established itself as an institution in which academic excellence and creative thinking go hand in hand. Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic shall meet the global socio-economic need through imparting quality technical education by nurturing a conducive learning environment through continuous improvement and customization. The learning environment includes technical seminars, Internship, projects, Industrial exposure through industry- institute interaction, entrepreneurial and communication skills, Mentoring students to make career choices and to become life long learner. A separate training and placement cell has been established to maintain a database of all the registered students with relevant details. Many reputed companies visit the campus to recruit the eligible students. The Polytechnic has taken stringent measures as per AICTE norms to prevent any incidence of ragging. Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic is affiliated to the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Bangalore and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Polytechnic functions through its Board of governors constituted as per the guidelines of AICTE.
